Reverend Timothy McDonald, III
Reverend
Timothy McDonald, III. is a native of Brunswick Georgia where he was
nurtured in the fear and admonition of Almighty God.
He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Berry College
in Rome, Georgia and his Master of Divinity degree from Emory University. He
has taught and lectured at colleges and universities in Atlanta and around the
country.
Reverend McDonald has served as the full-time Assistant Pastor of the historic
Ebenezer Baptist Church of Atlanta, he as served three terms as President of
Concerned Black Clergy of Metro. Atlanta. He is the founder of the African
American Minister’s Leadership Council, and current President of the African
American Minister’s In Action, of People for the American Way. He
has traveled to South Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Egypt, Japan, South and
Central America, Mexico, Cuba, Paris, Italy, India, and several other countries.
Reverend McDonald is listed in Who’s Who Among Black Americans, Who’s
Who in Religion, Who’s Who Among Christian Leaders in America, as well
as having received numerous other awards and recognitions.
Reverend McDonald has appeared as a special guest panellist on The Oprah
Winfrey and Sally Jessy Raphael Shows, and Ted Koppell’s Nightline. He
is often quoted in national publications and sought after for interviews.
He is truly a Christian who loves the lord and the Lord’s people.
Reverend McDonald is married to Mrs. Shirley (Neal) McDonald, and they
are the parents of three children, Nikisha, Timothy IV., and Ebony. Rev.
McDonald currently serves as the Senior Pastor of First Iconium Baptist
Church located in Southeast Atlanta, since May 1984. |
