Gloria Butler Miller

Gloria Butler Miller is a long-time resident of Detroit, Michigan. She brings 38 years of educational and corporate experience to the NABSE Foundation. She holds a bachelor of arts degree in education from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana, and a master's of art degree in education from the National College of Education in Evanston, Illinois. She most recently served as vice president for district partnerships with Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company. She has also served as the Midwest Regional vice president, district manager, educational representative and consultant. Gloria's service to the NABSE Foundation includes serving over five years on the NABSE Foundation Board. She is responsible for initiating in 1983 the NABSE Annual Breakfast sponsored by Houghton Mifflin. This event is one of the highlights of the annual NABSE Conference and features outstanding speakers, along with student scholarships awarded by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt to students in the host city. Gloria also has served as a director with the Minerva Foundation of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Detroit Alumnae Chapter. She is a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the NAACP. She has received numerous awards for outstanding achievement in the field of educational sales. Currently, she is a private consultant specializing in sales management and educational issues.
