High School Essay Contest
NABSE is excited to announce a High School Essay Contest...our first joint project
with RushmoreDrive.Com and the Pearson Foundation. High School Seniors can
submit an essay stating “Why I Believe Education is a Civil Right," for
an opportunity to win $2500, $1500 and $1000 cash prizes (first, second and
third place prizes, respectively). Entries must be received by October 12th,

My College Options
NABSE’s new partnership with The National Research Center for College
and University Admissions (NRCUA) will be instrumental in achieving
our goal of providing career resources to our members and high school
students, and ultimately, increasing the pipeline for African American
Teachers. My College Options is a nationwide service that gives college-bound
students the ability to match their personal goals and interests (including
academics, co-curricular activities, location preferences, and attitudes)
with the offerings of 3,500 accredited post-secondary institutions

Asa Grant Hilliard III Road Scholar Award
The Asa Grant Hilliard III Road Scholar award ($5000 scholarship) will
be presented to a deserving educator with at least ten (10) years of
